Listened to that Corinne Bailey Rae album the other day and was surprised at how good it is.
I'd seen it get really good reviews everywhere and people like Gilles Peterson bigging her up but still assumed she was coffee table mor pop like girl put your records on.
Turns out this album is a soul funk beast in the vein of Erykah Badu.
Aiming to catch her at Latitude tomorrow. Someone I never thought would be on my radar to listen to or see live. Go Corinne!
