His version of "All Around the Watchtower" arguably makes Hendrix' sound like Muse. The sheer coolness of covering Sister Sledge, Nolan Porter and Allen Toussaint.. I've grooved many a time to the epic live dvd of Studio 150, powerful stuff that cannot be denied.

Big album. I'd just get rid of WDIAGW and stick Let's all make believe in there & you've got a winner. Always loved the two rockers. Give a shit if they've got pony lyrics, most oasis tunes have anyway. I still think SOTSOG >> DOYS >>>>>> DBTT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> HC this post just oozes truth. ;D

I don't know, I think I've only heard DYOS like 2 times since it came out. Falling Down is probably better than anything on DBTT though.

DBTT > DOYS
I think DBTT has some worse moments than DOYS but when it's better, it's much better. DOYS sounds consistently average* to me.
*Shock of Lightning excepted.

if you line the tracks up almost every single track on DOYS dicks on it.
dbtt has some good moments but is just so flat and lifeless

DBTT is almost a joke compared to DOYS and DOYS has 8% less Andy Bell songs, which makes it an automatic winner. We don't even need a track by track -- DBTT has A Bell Will Ring on it. The day my grandpa died I was happier than the first time I listened to that song.

DBTT by far, the only song on DOYS i like are falling out and shock of the lighting the rest are just meh
the outta time video was just too much for me but shock of the lightning is their best single since the BHN days, that song is pure swag and the video is the best Oasis video imo.

Shock of the Lightning SHOULD be great but it's never really done anything for me (apart from that bit in the video where LIAM IS DRIVING A PLANE). I'd put the two albums roughly on a par - they're both patchy, but completely different, which is great. The best bits of DBTT sound like a precursor to Beady Eye and the first half of DOYS (well, Bag it Up and The Turning anyway) is the slightly more groove-based direction they really should've taken after SOTSOG. Score draw.
