OK, maybe hate is a strong word but considering your musical tastes are there any bands you know you should like but just don't get.
My big one is My Bloody Valentine. I love Spacemen 3, Lush, The Telescopes, (early) Verve, Ride, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Catherine Wheel, Swervedriver, Chapterhouse and Slowdive amongst others but MBV to me anyway are just fucking pointless. It's noise for the sake of noise and nothing ever really goes anywhere.
They are to me anyway The Beach Boys of shoegaze, wanked over continually but are in fact a load of old of shit.
The only tune I can just about stomach is the Andrew Weatherall remix of 'Soon'.

I think calling The Beach Boys complete shit is a bit ridiculous. I think you are probably just like me in that the really lush and sugary harmonies grate rather than thrill, I like some Beach Boys stuff but I'm definitely not a fan, same goes for the Zombies. Which is weird because some of my favourite bands have spent careers trying to imitate them but it is just too nice for me.
Same goes for stuff like Belle & Sebastian, just the thought of them makes me angry though once again, I do like a few of their tunes. I just prefer my music for the most part to have a bit more of an edge to it.

BJM comes to mind, leave me very cold.
Also Neil Young, although I do like him, but I probably should enjoy him much more than I do.
And I might confess The Smiths were near that category not so long ago, probably more into the meh territory.

bob dylan is my big one, never done anything for me barring a couple of tunes, but there's really no reason i shouldn't love him.

Pink Floyd, stereophonics and zeppelin are the ones that spring immediately to mind.
Also, given my love of other 60s psychedelic bands, I've never been able to get into Love. I've listened to 'forever changes' 4-5 times and each time it left me cold.

MBV and the Zombies both for me too. Loveless is good and all but I can't help but prefer Isn't Anything, Odyssey & Oracle is quite boring; overrated. Other bands/artists that come to mind: Sonic Youth, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, The Move.. Led Zeppelin.. Ryan Adams (sorry Jorn).

I'd recommend sticking with Forever Changes, I think I had pretty much the same feeling the first half a dozen times I heard it then it just fell into place perfectly.

The Move are a bit shit tbh. They are to the 60s what dodgy are to the 90s.

You are misquoting me. I've never said I don't like it. I just don't think it is one of the best records ever made.

Mark E. Smith is a huge fan so I feel obliged to like them. Never got them though..
edit: I just realised how stereotypical "internet music cunt" that line about the Zombies looks. Then again, maybe all my posts look like that.. Never understood the love for Odyssey & Oracle. Too fruity. The Action or The Left Banke were both 3 times better at it any way

There's bands like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Strokes who I find the most pathetic cunts ever in their wannabe leather jackets but I can't say I dislike their music, apart from some of their albums.
There's also bands like Dinosaur Jr. and The Zombies (good one!) who I think are good but never thought of an album more than like 6.5-7/10, whereas they should be right up my alley.
And then there's bands like Led Zeppelin, even though I kinda like that blues rock normally they're just kinda shit allround. The Doors and The Who I've never really liked as well.

I've grown to like The Doors as time has gone on. Their first three records are all good in my book.
