I thought they were fucking brilliant at Glastonbury. I stopped listening to them for years really to be honest but started listening to them again a few months ago, love the new single and thought they were brilliant headliners. Them and the Stones were by far my favourite of the weekend, two gigs I will never forget.

What do people think of "Why'd you only call me when you're high"? I cant get enough of it

On first listen didn't really like the album, but it is quite cohesive and fitting to the sound of today in their own way, so wouldn't surprise me if it gets a good reception.

It didn't grab me but I'm pretty sure it'll be a grower.

On first listen there's three good tracks, some forgetable stuff and some downright throwaway garbage. Not overly impressed. There's none of the cinematic brilliance of Black Treacle or proper heavy stuff like Crying Lightning.

What do people think of "Why'd you only call me when you're high"? I cant get enough of it The video is kind of silly and I guess the premise of the song as well. How come they made more "mature" songs before when they were younger? Now they're writing about unanswered booty calls..? Strange. Has the album leaked somewhere?

Yeah having listened to it twice today I'm now doing a speedy U-turn and saying I actually like this record and there are many more than three good tracks. Probably their most consistent record since the debut.

First time I listened to it 'Fireman' by Babyshmables came on after and sounded a billion times better than anything on the album. Second time I stuck 'Fireman' on half way through. Initial thoughts are it's a massive let down. Where the fuck is the 'noughties hip hop vibe'? One tune sounds like 'Forgot About D.R.E' for about 5 seconds. The rest sounds like Humbug with the interesting oddness replaced with American derge rock.
I've just put on that new Pixies tune and it's doing similar things a billion times better as well.
Future listens may make me completely change the above opinion.

Aside from a few early tracks I've never understood the fuss with them. Average imo, plus the frontman (whose name I know but will call 'frontman' so people don't mistake me for a fan) reminds me of Gareth Bale, who is a cunt nowadays, and they both have shit hair. Bye.

I'm enjoying it a lot now. It's got an addictive quality to it and I just keep coming back.

It did sound better on second listen, but don't think it'll become a favourite of mine

So, according to the album sleeve, the lyrics at the start of No. 1 Party Anthem are: What the fuck? I could swear he says "Cantona" and not "antenna" - antenna doesn't even make sense ffs

Surely not a 10/10 album but it's pretty damn good.
It's really hard to put the albums in order from best to worst.
