I think it's great. Someone else said earlier but it might be their most consistent record to date. The album flows really well and the overall vibes are pretty big.

On my 4th listen now, and it's up there with the primals for my favourite album of the year already. Still love the 1st two songs the most, but right now "I wanna be yours" is a great big  for me. |

First listen was completely underwhelming. Nothing stood out, the 'rockers' felt forced, the backing vocals on almost every track were annoying & the drum sound is horrible. Could be a grower but still on first impressions it appears to be a big step down for them.

Mmmm I agree with you on the backing vocals and drum sound, both are rank. They could really try working with a producer other than James Ford.

Really enjoying this record at the moment. Good vibe to it as Tucks said. Loving the backing vocals too, Helder's is it? They are wonderful.
Canny wait to catch them live in a month or so.

 Probably. There's a strange thing with the reviews though, they're far more respected now than five years ago. Pitchfork are starting to take them seriously and the British still accept them because after all they're the same old Sheffield lads. |
