agree with kev and barnz. it's quite a bold, personal sidestep and i respect alex turner for doing it. nothing on there is a hit but who gives a fuck. it's a potentially very good little album. It is their Road to Rouen. Never been a fan of AM (the band) but this comment has convinced me to give it a listen. Back in a bit.

I like it. I've never been keen on his accent much and the whole ladrock thing pinched me on the arse then robbed my wallet come the turn of the millenium, but this is more mellow and his vocals more subtle, so just my bag. I can see why some would hate it without the instant hooks but I reckon I'm largely speaking for vodka-red bull clubbers who continually request Mr Brightside. A game of two halves, Clive.
