Believe it or not Barns, I got it off THAT PLACE CALLED FUCKING SOULSEEK! or you can listen on their bandcamp or I can turtle it for you as you are a shitrat who won't use the wonderful soulseek Soulseek is cold and soulless, always the last option for me. I prefer a warmer place, somewhere with an excited review and a link.

i discovered a new album the other day. not through reading about it on pitchfork or downloading it from exy. i was in an actual record shop and heard this album playing and thought it sounded pretty cool and assumed it was some early 90s grunge band id never heard or forgotten about so asked the guy behind the counter what was playing (yeah this story is so fucking old school i didnt even shazam it). he told me it was a new album released this year by a band called bully.
just listened to it and its pretty fucking good. simple female fronted early 90s grunge stuff but just has that sort of sound im instantly drawn to. this is my favourite tune...
ps obviously i didnt buy the record on the spot though. just listened to it on spotify, i'm not THAT fucking 90s.

I've been listening this album a bit over the last few days, 'It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time' by Simon Love
I really know anything about him other than he was in a band called 'The Loves' whose name I vaguely recall but that's it.
Might be a few fans of the sound on here, it's steeped heavily in 60's pop/psych, Beatles/Kinks being obvious influences, but a more lo-fi approach.
I kind of get a Jim Noir vibe from it, but less polished and more salacious and wittier lyrics.

Sounds splendid.
The Julia Holter album is particularly delightful.

I remember when I used to treat everything Jack White did like it was an encyclical from god himself, but...I just cannot bring myself to give a shit about the dead weather's new album.

I genuinely haven't liked anything he's done post-White Stripes.

The Dead Weather is definitely his least exciting project.

Day Wave - Headcase (EP)
Really blown away by this. I just wish an LP would drop sometime soon. Fantastic melodies.
God love the jangly pop.
