Day Wave - Headcase (EP) Really blown away by this. I just wish an LP would drop sometime soon. Fantastic melodies. God love the jangly pop. Fantastic even looks like they got screech powers on bass. |

To be honest I mostly hated them before Monomania and only then started to appreciate their previous work. One of the most exciting bands around, that's for sure.

After 3 listens, Joanna Newsom's record is extraordinary.
Much more focused than Have One On Me and better for it, and that was a pretty great record if too long. In arrangements and lyrics it feels more like Ys at times, particularly the longer it goes on and that of course is a good thing.
But, she experiments with more sounds and instruments than on either of those or Milk Eyed Mender.
Not as good as Ys. Yet.
