Indeed, the Jack White record is fantastic. I’ve not been remotely arsed with his solo output and probably wouldn’t have bothered with this if it wasn’t for the divisive reviews on it, but I love it.
First thing he’s done with any bite in years.

What a relief! Just getting to the end of my first listen through of the new Jack White...I think I like it quite a bit. I'm totally sold on the new Jack White, it's really fucking good. It's absurd and weird and jarring but it has a lot of personality. It would have been easy enough for him to churn out the same old stuff and play it safe but I'm glad that he didn't because this album is a heap of fun. |

I know there are a lot of Strokes fans on here but I haven't seen anyone mention the new Voidz album. I've been listening to it almost exclusively for a week. Could have trimmed 3-4 tracks from the tracklist but still really fucking good. Basically the Strokes 2018.

Couple of records I'm enjoying at the moment. First one from a Parisian band called Bad Pelicans, who are in the realms of Garage Punk/Indie Pop type of thing. Short, sharp songs, the record is called 'Best of'. I reckon a few people on here will like them: :format(jpeg):mode_rgb():quality(90)/discogs-images/R-11776303-1522182300-9271.jpeg.jpg) Another is a band called Club Kuru, the record is a sort pop/soul hybrid thing, has that hazy and claustrophobic style of production, big chilled summer vibes, I really like it:  |
