This sounded glorious out in the sun this morning. Fucking mental how many good records have been released in this past month or so. It's a cracker of an album. Favourite thing off it so far is Soliloquy for Michael Brown. Thirded. Terrific album. |

really enjoyed the tracyanne and danny album on first listen. so nice to hear her voice again and definitley better than that last camera obscura album.

I've yet to hear it, but if wouldn't be difficult, that last CO album was chronic. Saying that, I still think My Maudlin Career still stands up as a great record, almost a decade on.

The Traceyanne & Danny album is nice enough, but lacks any killer songs. These collaborative albums always seem a good idea on paper but rarely deliver.
Side note: I can't be the only one who finds the new Beach House pretty underwhelming? It's not a patch on Depression Cherry (terrible name, great album)

The Traceyanne & Danny album is nice enough, but lacks any killer songs. These collaborative albums always seem a good idea on paper but rarely deliver. Side note: I can't be the only one who finds the new Beach House pretty underwhelming? It's not a patch on Depression Cherry (terrible name, great album) Agree mostly - the Crybaby led tracks just remind me constantly of Hawley. Quite enjoy it but doubt I'll come back to it too often. I've never been a big Beach House fan, 7 hit the spot this morning though when hayfever kicked in a 4am.... |

one of my most anticipated albums of the year was released today and the yellow vinyl landed on my doormat this morning; the debut album from glasgow's vital idles. old school indie sound with similarities to the raincoats, life without buildings etc. on my first listen now and i'm loving it.

Only a couple of listens in, it's gonna need more time, but I'm liking what i'm hearing and i'm liking the ideas. The Pusha T record he produced that came out last week as the first in this series of releases, is really great. Most intrigued about the Nas record, to be honest.. |
