I'm also enjoying the new Kanye album a heap. I think the fact that it's only 23 minutes long helps.

i'm a big kanye fan normally but really didn't like this new one on first listen.

I really love this Tim Burgess solo record. Assumed it would be a half-arsed slapped together for record store day type deal but tbh I'd say this is as good as anything he's done in recent years.

Good innit. Not so keen on the new Charlatans EP or the record he did with Peter Gordon a couple of years back but he's had a real resurgence over the last few years. He's opening for Ariel Pink in August if you can be arsed coming into TCOTU on a Tuesday night.

Really enjoying the Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever debut album. Also the MorMor EP that's just been released. Everything he has released this year has been gold.

when i first saw the band name tropical fuck storm i genuinely thought it was a tucker side project as the name was nearly as bad as the vanilla shiznit. i therefore had no desire to listen to the album.

seen it get loads of praise recently though so gave it a spin tonight and loved it. real good shit.

I'm struggling to keep up with everything this year, it's fucking relentless.

Despite this, I've been enjoying the latest album by a band called Western Medication.  They're from fucking Nashville but sound a bit baggy and a bit Manchester in places.  Definitely not the sort of thing I'd expect from a band from Nashville band.  Anyone who likes POPBAH will probably dig them.
