They're like a second rate The Big Moon, aren't they? Sharing members and that.

West Kirby County Primary really is a little gem of a record, one that continues to grow every time I listen to it. Definitely one of my favourite records of the last few years.

It has been oddly quiet for new music recently, or at least stuff that interests me. Been enjoying listening to mostly older stuff the past month or so.

Has The Soapbox really become the kind of forum where members get excited about the release of an Elvis Costello album?
Fake edit: I know the answer

Forgot about The Goon Sax too. Loved their debut.

It's all about The Lemon Twigs actually I'm really apprehensive about their new record. Theoretically, it sounds fucking awful. An hour long, broadway inspired, rock opera, about a chimp who is adopted by a couple of thwarted musician/artists and then proceeds to burn his school down.. Sounds woeful.

You might not know how to read a post by tucker but you probably got that right.
Fire is a tune anyway, reviews seem to be quite positive and Todd Rundgren ffs

Kan Wakan have a new album out.
The amount of press coverage their first album didn't get is criminal. It was a gem.
The second is just as good. And the lack of media coverage again is baffling.
Either he/they have literally no idea how to market or he's completely pissed off the whole industry and press so much no-one will write about him.
The first album had some serious producers working on it too (Nigel Godrich for one).

Another one I haven't read a thing about is Fraser A. Gorman's sophomore release, which is slowly growing on me.

The new Terry album is marvellous, possibly their best yet!

Anyone had a chance to try the new Spiritualized yet?
Giving it a go for the first time now and it sounds really good.

There's a new Charles Bradley record coming out which I'm excited about. I'm sure its just leftover cuts but I'll take it. Also I know I've posted this a few times but I don't care
