I tried reading the first post about six times and I still don’t have any fucking clue what this thread is about, so I’ll just leave it to wither and die when Karl gets bored

Some people are just desperate to see the forum disappear once and for all.

The only ‘PM friend’ (and by PM I mean MSM) I introduced to the forum was SexyKat. And what an impact she made!

Think you’re confusing me with someone else bruv. The only ‘PM friend’ (and by PM I mean MSM) I introduced to the forum was SexyKat. And what an impact she made! Think I'm confusing you or getting things mixed up then. It was a girl you met on oasisforum, not someone you introduced, and she happened to live not far away from me Shine On I think was the name but fuck knows I keep having bursts of memories now that I've quit smoking

SexyKat is an Aussie and as far as I know never lived in Italy.
But apart from that... you’re spot on!

Decided to carry on with Hello Dirtman. 3 tracks from a split single with someone called Dirtman. All 3 songs are pretty solid on this. I like the melodica on track two + the fuzz guitar on night. None made the playlist but still quite an enjoyable listen.

Starting with 2016's MORNING, which I assume was the first release. Only 11 minutes in length so I've just given this 3 back to back listens. The bookends on this EP are superb. Fall Of Mantis is a hectic blast. Pamphlet sounds like early REM until that distorted guitar comes in and rapes your ears, cool vibe to that even if 'm not sure it all works as a whole. Everyone In Your Hands is a lovely short ballad, proper GBV vibes from this. The two that follow didn't really grab me but Whores of the Tundra is the real highlight here, lovely guitar tone, vocals work perfectly too. My playlist of every good song recorded by everybody ever currently has 375 Bob Pollard songs in it, I've a good feeling I can find at least half that amount in this back catalogue. I'm going to score these songs as either Mad Bandcamp Cunt or Son of Pollard. 1. Fall Of Mantis - Son of Pollard 2. Pamphlet - Mad Bandcamp Cunt 3. Everyone In Your Hands - Son of Pollard 4. One Example At A Time - Mad Bandcamp Cunt 5. Public Class - Mad Bandcamp Cunt 6. Whores Of The Tundra - Son of Pollard Current score: Bob Pollard 375 - Hello Whirled 3. Finished my listen throughs and it was very enjoyable. My thoughts below: 1. Fall Of Mantis: Strong opener. There's a bit of a spikeyness and angularity about it. Really like the based and its positioning in the mix. 2. Pamphlet: Man, it it wasn't for that distorted guitar, this would be a MAJOR highlight. Love the way the guitars and base interweave, and the way the vocal melody fits in. Again, I really like the bass overall and it's positioning in the mix. But that distorted guitar just spoils it a bit. I'd love to hear a cleaner version of this. 3. Everyone In Your Hands: Same as Karl on this, big GBV vibes from it. Lovely little number. 4. One Example At A Time: Decent enough. Nice structure and well played, just not that memorable really. 5. Public Class : I actually quite like this but I think it's missing something to hold it all together. It's all very loose but maybe a bit too loose. I can imagine some sort of bongos on it tbh. 6. Whores Of The Tundra: Bloody excellent. Guitar tone is real sweet, and again, getting some GBV vibes from this. All in all, really good work. Can't wait to hear things progress as we move through the albums! Gonna give the next one a spin before bed.

Nothing even comes close to the highlights of Morning but there are some nice ideas on display. If I had to pick a favourite, I'd probably go with Uplifter Baptizer. I like the drums and I like what it's striving for musically.
