I never could get into Radiohead - the only album I could potentially put on was In Rainbows.
I see The Smile getting hyped up and I wanna give it a try but I am afraid it's just gonna sound like Radiohead.

In the old NME style of writing a band member’s first name followed by the band (“Pete libertine”, “richey manic” etc), I had no idea Liam fray was in another band that wasn’t the fray until just recently.

I believe I had maybe only really listened to Suffering Jukebox by Silver Jews in past years.
I recently and luckily (because I heard Random Rules on the radio) found American Water by them. Wow, what a great record. Just a lovely record.

One of my favorite Neil Young records is Prairie Wind. I am not sure how many people rate it? I don't think it was very critically acclaimed but I always loved this record so much.

I’ve not listened to it in some time. I remember liking it. Now Neil’s back on the Spotify I’m going to hit the back catalogue HARD.

OASIS > LEEF if it helps, Steve, I love everything Radiohead do, but I just can't get into The Smile. I've tried both of their albums a number of times and they just zip past me. I can not remember one song I've heard, which is strange if you've listened to a record 5 or 6 times. I think the ideas just aren't there. Radiohead are fucking amazing though. I'm a big fan of Hail to the Thief at the moment.

One of my favorite Neil Young records is Prairie Wind. I am not sure how many people rate it? I don't think it was very critically acclaimed but I always loved this record so much. I revisited it this morning as I’ve not heard it in a long time (though that can apply to Neil in general due to the Spotify strike). Its a hard record to fault, pretty consistent start to finish, even if none of it really stands out as being anything particularly special. You could imagine stylistically this being a record Reprise would liked Neil to have followed up Harvest with. Personally Chrome Dreams II, Le Noise & Psychedelic Pill (his best since Ragged Glory) are my go to post 2000 Neil records. But having had a revisit I can get behind Prairie Wind. On a huge Neil kick since he returned to Spotify. I’ve decided to work through the entire back catalogue again & listen to a record each day when I take the dog out. Just had a lovely early morning stroll to After the Goldrush. Neil’s debut bar a couple of tracks I’d forgot how disappointing it is, horrible production. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere is a record I’ll never tire off. There’s a few recent ones I’ve not even heard. Though I’ve a long way to go to get to them.

They were great.
I apologise.
