“The nationali’s best work in a decade” - “this is the best crystal palace season in 20 years!”
I mean, it may *technically* be accurate, but…who cares?

Edgar Jones has a new album and single out but fuck me, it costs €60 to have both delivered outside the UK (and import fees on top of that), so... not this time.

oh I'll give that a listen. Not kept up with what he's been up to in recent years. Even found out that the Stairs had played in TCOTU after the event.

I couldn't be bothered listening to it after the Taylor Swift collaboration.
I did like Tropical Morning News though and didn't mind New Order T-shirt... maybe I am doing myself a disservice by now listening to it.

THE HIVES. THE HIVES. THE HIVES. they're doing a couple of TCOTU shows, might go to one. Never been that bothered on record, but they're so much fun live.

They're supporting Arctic Monkeys in Norwich in a few weeks. Will be my first time seeing them in about 20 years. Will have to give the old records a play beforehand.

I will be. Loved the two albums he did with the Indications.
Today has been all about big Tom Meighan and the debut EP from my new ladrock favourites, Marseille, so far though.

If I had to bet, the likes of titch and tucker will enjoy it more than you, but it's a beauty, give it a chance to grow

Lemon Twigs aren't for me.
That Durand Jones album was disappointing.
He had a half decent stab at Someday We'll All Be Free- not sure it needs that hip hop break down half way through though.

Just got round to listening to Durand Jones and really like it.
I'm a big fan of his stuff with the Indications but this is a fair bit different with a more raw, gospel ballad style compared to the disco/funk of the indications records.
I could listen to his voice all day long. For me, Monophonics and Durand Jones are the real leading players in the modern soul scene.
