It's a good fun hard rock album. the lyrics are unbelievably shit, the songs are predictable, but I blasted it 4 times in a row this morning & I'm having this. I mean, that one he did the other year with the wife beater Josh Home and random arctic monkey was genuinely really good, this is just disposable fun and I'm down with that.
Some of those lyrics though Best I've heard since 'avin it large!

Did I really just here him sing:
"I'm crispy on the outside, And juicy where I cry"
I'm looking forward to getting into the James Yorkston/Nina Persson record. Their last one was utterly gorgeous.
Until recently I'd never given James Yorkston any time, just assuming that as he was called James he'd be filed alongside James Morrison and James Blunt. But the things he did with Suhail Yusuf Khan and Jon Thorne were fantastic.
It used to be that James meant you were automatically cool- James Brown, James Bond, James Joyce, James II of England, me.
But in the days of Morrison, Blunt and Corden it's a tricky name to carry off.
