Was pleasantly surprised by the new 22-20's album, the debut had a handful of really good tunes and the rest almost filler but this was strong start to finish.

One thing is for sure, Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma is far above anything else released this year, a truly exciting record and one that I keep going back to.

Yeah, he truly arrived with cosmogramma.
As for the best tune this year, I have to go with "Younger Us" by Japandroids. I really like that band, one of the few "new" guitar bands I feel can go on to do great things.
The biggest dissapointment was finding out British Sea Power finished their album, but postponed it until 2011 because they are going on tour with Manic Street Preachers!!! LOL!

Richard Ashcroft, man this is a crazy album, he's always been a bit spiritual but this sounded like some crazy Christian rock at one point a few massive tunes, a few that really made me cringe but saying that it sounded like the best thing I've heard him do solo.

Anyone enjoying Avi Buffalo should check out the Goldheart Assembley record, it's rather good.
Also Laura Marling, The Futureheads, The National, LCD Soundsystem, Janelle Monae, The Coral, Gil Scott-Heron, Rose Elinor Dougall (I can see you didn't rate this one but I think it's very strong, particularly the first half) and The Black Keys have all tickled my fancy this year.
