Sorry for being rude, but who is Part Brut? PEOPLE NEED TO STICK TO THEIR USUAL NAMES FFS.

Charlatans new album got a really great write up in Mojo, comparing the guitars to sonic youth, we'll see how that goes.

Karl, you need to give the Janelle Monae album a spin and then come and see her with me and Jamie in September...

I wasn't convinced, I admire the scope of the record, a lot of styles & ideas thrown around but the songs really didn't grab me very much at all.

I'd swear I made a post saying something like "She has a voice. Love the dancers. Won't listen to the album but would be great to see them live"

Cee-Lo Green's new album Lady Killer is a blast, anyone who enjoyed the Gnarls Barkley records will enjoy this. Few duds on there but mostly pretty damn good, like a modern day Al Green. The Band of horses cover is pretty sweet as well.
New Bees album seemed really fucking dull on first listen, totally lifeless didn't feel like a bees record at all.

You boys should get fired into Clinic's new one.
Just downloaded Broken Records' latest, I'm hoping it's a significant improvement on their last effort.

Let me know if it is, after you hyping them up a bit I really didn't think much of until the earth begins to part, were decent when I saw them live though.

Well I gotta say the Black Keys' Brothers really grew on me in the last few months, Tighten Up is probably one of their best singles to date; Crocodiles was also an amazing surprise and The Walkmen blew my mind completely with the new record. Teenage Fanclub's Shadows was also pretty nice, kinda new to them so I really enjoyed it. So all in all, it's been a pretty good year for me, I'm downloading this supposed unreleased thing by Ryan Adams called 48 Hours, does anyone know if it's on par with his good stuff?

Yea, 48 Hours is excellent. The Suicide Handbook is my favorite thing he's ever done and thats unreleased.

I don't think there's been a truly great year for music since the mid 2000's. I'm turning into an old man
