I don't think there's been a truly great year for music since the mid 2000's. I'm turning into an old wise man You're totally right. Every year a couple of good records, a couple of decent (and mainly from bands you already like anyway) and the rest is shit. Life sucks

Well I gotta say the Black Keys' Brothers really grew on me in the last few months, Tighten Up is probably one of their best singles to date; Crocodiles was also an amazing surprise and The Walkmen blew my mind completely with the new record. Teenage Fanclub's Shadows was also pretty nice, kinda new to them so I really enjoyed it. So all in all, it's been a pretty good year for me, I'm downloading this supposed unreleased thing by Ryan Adams called 48 Hours, does anyone know if it's on par with his good stuff? Probably the best thing he ever 'released' ;D

Well it's full of songs I'd heard before, I thought it was brand-new material. What's the name of the bunch of new things he put out this year?

Somebody just rated Kula Shaker's album 10/10.
Can anybody confirm this!?

Was it Horizen or Crispian's mum? If it's neither then I doubt it.
Anything good due out before the end of the year? Just been through what I've heard this year, can safely say it's been a good year, about 30 records which I really like & will be coming back to on a regular basis in the future though only a couple of records which I'd say are exceptional

I've payed a bit more attention to records this year - but nowhere near as much as I would have liked to tbh
Looking forward to III/IV if it sneaks out before the end of the year. Lots of 6-7/10 records this year

To anybody who enjoyed the Soft Packs record from this year I highly recommend checking out 'First blood' By Nobunny & '$' by Mark Sultan who is basically King Khan from King Khan & BBQ show/The Shrines. Both straight forward garage-rock & alot of fun.
I would turtle them but I found them both easily by just searching for them on google with the word blogspot so they are there if anybody wants them.

I'm not sure about that, I dig the Soft Pack but they're just too soft tbh. Which one of those is better?
