Why is Mandy Moore there singing/ruining that song for me? Fucking Yoko wannabe needs to back the hell off.
Fakeedit: Ok nothing could ever ruin that song for me (except for a Bono/The Corrs cover) but she needs to start popping kids or something and staying away.

id never consider myself to be a huge ryan adams fan. i own a couple of his albums and have always quite enjoyed his stuff but rarely listen to him.
just stuck on love is hell for the first time in probably 5 years or something ridiculous.
ITS AMAZING isnt it?
afraid not scared is one of the most beautiful songs ever.
reckon im gonna spend most of this week getting obsessed with ryan tbh

tbh i thought part 2 was a slight letdown. i posted that message just after i finished part 1 which was a 9/10 ep, part 2 probably more like a 7 but still a lovely album.

I've completely forgotten where part 1 ends and part 2 begins. I've had it on my iPod as a single album with the bonus tracks off the first sandwiched between them and the whole thing blows my mind from start to finish. Might listen to it tonight

just listening to gold now.
always thought it was slightly overrated by people on here. i like it but think its a bit too long and theres a few fillerish tracks there. could make an excellent ten song album from it though.
will also spin demolition, heartbreaker and rock n roll in the next few days. looking forward to being reaquainted with rock n roll, i always thought it was quite unfairly slated.
those are the only ryan albums ive ever bothered with though so his stuff from the past five years ive never even heard. i understand most of it is quite patchy? what are the albums i should deffo check out from this period?

Agree with you on the Gold chat, tbh I think most Ryan Adams fans would. Out of
Cold Roses Jacksonville City Nights 29 Easy Tiger Cardinology
I'd say the first 3 are essential, the other 2 while still good admittedly are not quite up the same standard. Although I do love them all. Been a while since I've listened to most of his albums. Since my last PC died and I lost all my music about a year ago I've just mainly been listening to 48 Hours and The Suicide Handbook to get me by. Can't wait for III/IV. Really need to get my old HD sorted out. Looking forward to a massive Ryan albums reunion.

Gold really hasn't aged well with me, its still a great record - the run of the first 8/9 tracks is outstanding Heartbreaker - 10/10 all neet Gold - 8/10 Demolition - 6/10 - depends on mood though, Dear Chicago and a few others are awesome. The individual albums these were taken off are superior Rock'n'Roll - 7/10 - Good fun and I fucking adore So Alive and Burning Photographs Love Is Hell - 9/10 - Beautiful fucked up record. Prefer it as a whole than as 2EPs Cold Roses - 7/10 - Too much filler let's this down, some fantastic moments also JCN - 8/10 - really enjoy the sound of this record 29 - 8/10 - Best of the trio, moody and beautiful. Easy Tiger - 6/10 - shit production ruins some overwise decent tracks and Ryan ruins Hey There Miss Lovely Cardinolgy - Yawn/10 And that's only the official ones!

There are some painfully shit songs on there - I'd be happy if I never heard Go Easy, Let Us Down Easy, Natural Ghost, Sink Ships (aka U2), Evergreen or Like Yesterday again
That's half the record! Have high hopes for III/IV though
Love is Hell on atm - Anybody Wanna Take Me Home is phenomenal and in its rightful place on here rather than RnR
