Never really understood the Cardinology hate, it's a pretty nice album, nothing spectacular but it's great background music I'm digging this one as well, strongest track for me is Typecast , weakest: Breakdown Into the Resolve So far, 7/10

This is growing on me nicely, so much so I might even bump it up from a 6 to 7 or higher on rateyourmusic! And it might be a double album but it's only just over an hour combined, shorter than Kanye's album tbh. The main thing is it doesn't try to be brilliant, it's just effortless fun - a big contrast with Easy Tiger for example where although I like a lot of the stuff on there, you can just hear him straining to make a lot of the songs into more than they were, this one feels loads more like a natural Ryan Adams record.
Also would love to see his back catalogue tidied up and released now he's on his own label

Solid 7 for me
Really enjoyable record, the 2nd disc hasn't clicked as much with me yet though

The more I listen, the more I like. Even the poorer songs have become a wee bit better/bareable.
Liking the first disc better than the second, but haven't gave the second as much play time as the first.
solid 7 growing to an 8/10

He kind of did that with Rock 'n' Roll, but he only ended up hurting himself, so we forgave him and then made sweet, make-up love to him with Love Is Hell.

This album actually is brilliant after all eh the most fun guitar record I've heard since Breaks' last one and tbh it's even better than that. Like Mahoney Ive been burned by his last few albums with their bad production, shit songs or both so I was really cautious about opening my heart, taking off my pants and letting Ryan take me in his mouth in case he bit again (to continue the SEX FILTH) but eventually it's undeniable joy just got me, and for the first time I can see why people didn't like Rock N Roll so much, THIS is how it's supposed to be done. Love the female backing vocals on a couple of tracks as well, he should do an album with the Pipettes or Girls Aloud or something.

Filthy Ryan fucking you with his dirty sex music. I love the vocals on Ultraviolet Light and Star Wars is a tune and a half even though it's slightly geeky. The whole album/both sides are good fun, Really feels like Ryan's enjoying his music on this. Get on it asap tucks.
