I bet Karl listens to it in bed crying cause he can't come out saying he loves it, he's afraid it'll make him look like Didz. It's ok, Karl, we won't judge you.

I've said it once, I've said it three times, but Welcome to Japan is one of the best things the Strokes have ever done.
YOU'RE NOT JUST A FRIEND YOU'LL BE BORN AGAIN WE'LL BE IN THIS RACE UNTIL THE VERY END

And what about Partners in Crime? It belongs to the same category as the likes of Somma and Red Light, those little dark horses.

Great tune. GREAT ALBUM. Shame Ana and Karl seem to be too grown up to enjoy The Strokes these days

YES. Are the Strokes too big to have a sleeper hit? Because Comedown Machines is one.

Read a thing on Stereogum today about First Impressions of Earth being released 10 years ago this week. Remember Juicebox leaked months early? The forum went into meltdown. Such a bizarre choice of lead single. You Only Live Once was cracking, however.

You wish Paul Smeller, The Trifles or BRMP could write a song as good as Welcome to Japan. Great post.
